[Miami, FL — MAY 9, 2025]: GRAMMY® and LATIN GRAMMY®-nominated singer-songwriter Debi Nova released her poignant new single “Se Va” in collaboration with Leonel García, one of Latin music’s most revered singer-songwriters and co-founder of the iconic duo Sin Bandera. As the second song from her anticipated upcoming album releasing this summer, “Se Va” offers a moving meditation on the fading of love and the bittersweet beauty of acceptance.

With delicate acoustic instrumentation and intimate vocal harmonies, “Se Va” captures the emotional stillness that arrives when two people realize their connection is no longer what it once was. Rather than dramatizing heartbreak, the track leans into tenderness and vulnerability, allowing both artists’ voices to shine in raw, emotional clarity.

‘Se Va’ is a reflection on a love that slipped away because maybe it wasn’t given the attention and care it deserved. Sometimes we think we have more time to make things right, that we’ll change tomorrow, but by the time we realize it, the person we love is gone. Collaborating with Leonel was truly special. I’ve admired his artistry for so long, and sharing this song with him felt effortless and honest.

“Se Va” was written by Debi and Leonel during an afternoon in García’s studio in Mexico City, and the vocals recorded that same evening are the ones featured on the final track. The song was produced by Mario Caldato (Jack Johnson, Beastie Boys, Seu Jorge) and Roberto Schilling (Eric Clapton, Stephen Marley, Jack Johnson).

Following the empowering first single “Tu Manera de Amar,” “Se Va” continues Debi’s upcoming album’s central themes of self-exploration, emotional healing, and the many forms of love, showing a softer, more introspective side of the Costa Rican artist’s evolving sound.

“Se Va” is now available on all digital and streaming platforms.
